Has Goochland County been Conquered ?

Oh, what a shocking development! The Goochland County Board of Supervisors is heroically turning a blind eye to the outright land grab barreling toward the western end of the county. While the very citizens they’re paid to represent are about to be plundered like it’s 1066, the county administrator and BOS have bravely declared a “neutral” stance on the Valley Link transmission line—because, bless their hearts, they “believe they can have no effect.”

How adorably powerless they suddenly feel! These are the same officials elected to be the people’s voice, yet they’re content to watch their constituents get sacrificed—land, livelihoods, health, the whole package—on the sacred altar of data-center profits.

Couldn’t you at least muster the spine for a simple resolution of condemnation? Is that really too heavy a lift for your collective courage? Or do you genuinely not give a single damn about the people you swore to protect that you’ll do exactly… nothing?

Wow. Just… wow.

Behold, ladies and gentlemen—these are your cowards in office, proudly refusing to lift a single finger against the Valley Link transmission line. Truly inspiring.

And please, for the love of whatever dignity is left in this county: show up to the meetings. Pepper them with questions. Deride them. Publicly shame these spineless wonders for so spectacularly abandoning their own citizens.

Scroll further down and see the video from one fine citizen, Lee Halvorsen, who is having none of it and tirelessly questioning exactly who the supervisors are working for.
