The "Barn Fire" is Starting to Roar!

The barn fire scorching the nine counties in the crosshairs of that 115-mile bulldozer known as Valley Link is now a full-on inferno. Public rage is reaching new highs.
Latest ember: Buckingham County’s board of supervisors just voted unanimously to fire off a letter to their grid overlord, PJM, telling them in plain English that the transmission line scheduled to plow through private land is a HARD NO.
This comes hot on the heels of Culpeper’s own unanimous smackdown of the Yeat “bulk energy transmission hub” they tried to drop on them. And word is Louisa and Orange counties are putting the finishing touches on their own “thanks but get lost” letters to PJM.
Nice work, citizens. Your elected officials are finally listening. Shocking, I know.
I’m starting to think even PJM is feeling the heat—especially with all the chatter about breaking up their cozy little monopoly and the responses to our supporters like Patrick Oxenham (we can't wait to hear the details Patrick). Maximum pressure clearly works.
So here’s the cherry on top: how do we get Campbell County to join the party? Not just a polite “we’re not thrilled” note, but a full-throated HARD NO to both the line and that shiny new 136-acre bulk energy distribution hub, aka substation, they want to plant on that pretty timberland lot. Let’s make it unanimous across the board. The overlords are listening—time to give them something they can’t ignore.
